Details

Conceptions of the Good Life have an obvious place in normative theory, and a clear relevance for a wide range of practical concerns. This workshop will bring together scholars and students from a variety of disciplines who are working on a range of issues for presentations and discussion, with the hope of illuminating the relationship that theory has to practice here. Focal points for discussion with attention to the role of the Good Life will include (but will not be limited to): bioethics, capability, paternalism, well-being, perfectionism, justice, and loss.
