Details

The 2016 New Zealand Association of Philosophers Conference will be hosted by the Philosophy Programme at the University of Waikato in Hamilton, from 29 November to 2 December 2016.

The opening address will be given by Liezl van Zyl on the evening of Tuesday, 29 November 2016, 7.00-8.30PM and will be followed by a reception. Other events include the conference dinner on Friday, 2 December 2016, and a beer tasting event on Wednesday, 30 November 2016.

We invite submissions on any philosophical topic from advanced postgraduate students and academics. Conferees should submit an abstract (not to exceed 1000 words; in .doc, .docx, or .pdf format) of their proposed paper for presentation at this year’s annual meeting by 15 October 2016.

Since some institutions of higher education require academic staff and students to submit requests for financial support well in advance of travel to a professional conference, submissions will be evaluated and a verdict rendered as soon as possible after submission, even if submission is well in advance of the deadline.

All submissions should be made via the 2016 NZAP website:
