The mythical exodus of the Israelites from Egypt is not only an ancient narrative of the emancipation of a minority, it also describes some of the most virulent problems of our time: global migration, religious fundamentalism and political nationalism. The aim of the three-day symposium in Messina is to discuss this actuality of the exodus from a interdisciplinary but foremost philosophical perspective.
