Details

The mythical exodus of the Israelites from Egypt is not only an ancient narrative of the emancipation
of a minority, it also describes some of the most virulent problems of our time: global migration,
religious fundamentalism and political nationalism. The aim of the three-day symposium in
Messina is to discuss this actuality of the exodus from a interdisciplinary but foremost philosophical
perspective.

If you want to present a speech of about 30 minutes or a poster, please send an abstract of about
500 words by March 15, 2017 to: [email protected] or [email protected]. We will inform
you of our decisions by the end of March.

The languages of the symposium are English and Italian.
