Institute of Philosophy (Zagreb, Croatia) invites submissions for a two-day conference titled Politics and morality to be held on 18-19 October 2017 at Institute of Philosophy, Zagreb. Plenary lectures at the conference will be given by professor Giuseppe Girgenti (Milano), professor Christoph Horn (Bonn), and professor Neven Sesardić (Zagreb).

The aim of the conference is to gather philosophers and scholars from other disciplines (political sciences, sociology, law etc.) who will present papers on various aspects of relationship between politics and morality. Topics may include, but are not limited to: the nature of this relationship in ancient, medieval and modern philosophy; the problem of “dirty hands”; morality of patriotism/nationalism; political integrity; morality of democratic processes; morality of/in war. 

We invite you to participate in the conference with a paper presentation no longer than 30 minutes (each presentation will be followed by a 10-minute discussion). If you wish to present a paper in the conference, please fill in the attached Application Form and send it to [email protected]. The deadline for submissions is 31 May 2017, notifications will be sent out approximately two weeks after this deadline.
