The Third Taiwan Metaphysics Colloquium (TMC 2017) -- Workshop on Donald Davidson’s philosophy
Talks at this conference
It is beyond any reasonable doubt that Donald Davidson has a remarkable influence on contemporary philosophy in a variety of fields, especially in the philosophy of language, the philosophy of mind, theory of action, theory of meaning, to mention a few. As it happens, this year, 2017, is the centenary anniversary of his birth. To celebrate his great contribution, we are now organizing a workshop on his philosophy, as the core of the Third Taiwan Metaphysics Colloquium (TMC 2017).
All researchers working on various aspects of Davidson’s philosophy are welcome to present their current research at the workshop. To make this workshop more rewarding, we have also invited some distinguished philosophers; some of them are renowned Davidsonian specialists:
Jennifer Hornsby (Birkbeck College, London University, UK)
Pascal Engel (École des hautes études en sciences sociales (EHESS) -- School for Advanced Studies in the Social Sciences, France)
Derek Baker (Lingnan University, Hong Kong)
Robert Myers, (York University, Canada)
Neil Sinhababu (National University Singapore, Singapore)
Rowland Stout (University College Dublin, Ireland)
Claudine Verheggen (York University, Canada)
