The Anscombe Bioethics Centre warmly invites you to a half-day symposium on Saturday, 22 July, 1-4pm, exploring the Catholic philosopher Elizabeth Anscombe's writings on contraception. This will take place at Blackfriars, Oxford.

Papers will be delivered by:

- Prof. Stephan Kampowski, professor of philosophical anthropology at the Pontifical John Paul II Institute for Studies on Marriage and Family in Rome
- Dr Anthony McCarthy, who lectures in moral philosophy and sexual ethics including at the International Theological Institute (Trumau) where he is a visiting scholar

With responses given by:

- Dr Mary Geach, Anscombe's literary executor and an independent scholar
- Dr Pia Matthews, lecturer in healthcare ethics at St Mary's University, Twickenham
