Please join us on November 4, 2017 as the Philosophy Department at the University of Pennsylvania hosts the third Penn Reasons and Foundations of Epistemology Conference (PeRFECt3): Epistemology and Testimony in the Age of Fake News.  

The PeRFECt speakers will be Prof. Catherine Elgin (Harvard), Prof. Sanford Goldberg (Northwestern), Prof. Michael Lynch (UConn), and Prof. Ernest Sosa (Rutgers). There will also be faculty commentators-at-large, including Prof. Emmalon Davis (New School), Prof. Karen Frost-Arnold (HWS), Prof. Allan Hazlett (WashU), Prof. Mellisa Koenig (Minnesota), Prof. Anna-Sara Malmgren (Stanford), and Prof. Deborah Tollefsen (Memphis).  

This is a call for applications to be a graduate student commentator-at-large. The responsibility of commentators-at-large is to be an engaged and active participant in the conference. We have will provide accommodations in Philadelphia for November 3rd and 4th and meals with the other conference participants on November 4th. Graduate student commentators-at-large will be responsible for their own travel.  In order to be considered, please send your CV and a brief paragraph (max 100 words) describing why the conference would benefit you and your work to the conference organizers at [email protected] with the subject "PeRFECt3 Grad CAL Application". The deadline is September 15th, 2017. Decisions will be made by September 22nd.
