Miklós Rédei is Professor of Philosophy and Head of Department at LSE’s Department of Philosophy, Logic and Scientific Method, who has been a constant leading influence on the philosophy and the foundations of physics, especially in the application of mathematical techniques to clarify the philosophical foundations of quantum theory. Miklós has also been one of the founders and leaders of the philosophy of science research group that Jeremy Butterfield labeled as “the Budapest School”. The workshop, arranged on the occasion of his 65th birthday, will bring together philosophers and physicists inspired by the work of Miklós to celebrate his influence and achievements in philosophy of science as well as to discuss new work, in particular in the foundations of quantum physics.

Speakers include: Klaus Fredenhagen, Márton Gömöri, Balázs Gyenis, Zalán Gyenis, Gábor Hofer-Szabó, Kasia Rejzner, Bryan W. Roberts, László Szabó, Giovanni Valente, and Charlotte Werndl.
