Lexicon Philosophicum
International Journal for the History of Texts and Ideas
Issue 1 (2012)
The CNR Istituto per il Lessico Intellettuale Europeo e Storia delle Idee (ILIESI-CNR) launches a new online, Open Access, journal focussing on intellectual history: Lexicon Philosophicum: International Journal for the History of Texts and Ideas.
The new journal has an interdisciplinary character and will provide open access to original, unpublished high quality contributions: critical essays, research articles, short texts editions, and critical bibliographic reviews on the history of philosophy, the history of science, and the history of ideas, with a special attention to textual and lexical data. Lexicon Philosophicum will also have a specific section devoted to digital humanities (such as digital scholarly editing, corpora creation, semantic web research).
The journal articles will be interlinked with a large collection of
primary sources of Ancient and Early Modern Philosophy available in the
portal Daphnet:
http://www.daphnet.org/. Therefore, the first two issues of Lexicon Philosophicum will
particularly welcome articles directly related to texts and authors
published in this platform. Authors are invited to submit complete original papers, which are not
under review for any other journal or conference proceedings.
Peer Review
The 2011 and 2012 issues of Lexicon Philosophicum are part of the European project Agora. Scholarly Open Access Research in European Philosophy (2011-2013). Submitted papers will go through an experiment in peer-reviewing: a double-blind peer-review process followed by a one-month open-reviewing phase during which registered users of the journal platform will be enabled to comment on and to discuss submitted papers.
