Announcing the Call for Papers for the

20th Anniversary Session of the

Southern Appalachian Undergraduate Philosophy Conference

The University of North Carolina at Asheville

February 8-9, 2019

Our symposium provides a professional-style philosophical forum for aspiring undergraduates to present

significant and original work. All papers will be evaluated by blind review process. At the conference,

judges from universities with important graduate programs will award prizes for the top three presentations.

We are honored to announce that our judge and keynote speakers this year will be:

Dr. Vrinda Dalmiya [University of Hawai’i]

Dr. Chris Cuomo [University of Georgia]

In addition, in celebration of 20 years of wonderful undergraduate

conferences, we will be holding an opening reception on Friday Feb. 8

for all participants and any alumni of the UNCA Philosophy Program

or of the conference.
