CFA: PhD Summer Workshop on Emotions and Perception in Moral Epistemology

The Centre for Moral and Political Philosophy at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem invites applications for the Centre’s annual summer PhD workshop. This year’s topic is “Emotions and Perception in Moral Epistemology” (for further details, see: https://cmpp.huji.ac.il/2019). We will invite up to 6 PhD students to spend 6 weeks, from May 12th until June 21st, 2019, as fellows with the Centre to work on their own research and exchange ideas with each other and members of the CMPP. Fellows will attend distinguished guest lecturer Christine Tappolet’s condensed graduate class from June 2-18. Fellows will be expected to attend the Centre’s annual conference (on the same topic) to be held on June 12-14. Confirmed participants include Hagit Benbaji (Ben Gurion University), Anna Bergqvist (Manchester Metropolitan University), Robert Cowan (Glasgow), Sabine Dӧring (Tubingen), Aaron Elliott (HUJI), Errol Lord (University of Pennsylvania), Michael Milona (Auburn), Christine Tappolet (University of Montreal), Jona Vance (Northern Arizona University), Preston Werner (HUJI), and Shlomit Wygoda Cohen (HUJI).

The Centre will pay for the trip to Jerusalem, provide accomodation near the university, and pay a scholarship of approximately $3000 (depending on current exchange rates) for the six week period. Successful applicants will be outstanding PhD students whose work is related to the project’s topic and who are in the dissertation stage of their program.
