International Symposium on Political Lying and Deception

This symposium aims to promote public and academic reflection on the nature and significance of political lying and deception, as recurrent practices in contemporary politics, from the widest possible range of philosophical methods and traditions. It also looks to set up an interdisciplinary venue for public conversation with a diverse sample of non-academic, social and political actors. The event thus intends to combine the traditional academic discussion among key speakers and participants with the experience of social actors and representatives of social and political movements, and state institutions.
