Details

Wittgenstein and the “Oxbridge” philosophers made important contributions to the philosophy of language, action theory, philosophy of mind, ethics, and political philosophy. On the hundredth anniversary of Elizabeth Anscombe's birth, we take this opportunity to reflect on her legacy and that of her contemporaries.

This conference welcomes papers on a variety of topics related to the work of Ludwig Wittgenstein, Elizabeth Anscombe, and their Oxbridge contemporaries (e.g. Peter Geach, Anthony Kenny, and Philippa Foot) and their influence on other philosophers.
