I Symposium on Logic and Analytic Philosophy

VIII Social Epistemology Conference

The I Symposium on Logic and Analytic Philosophy - promoted by the Research Group on Logic and Formal Philosophy (GELF/CNPq) - is designed to provide a meeting for researchers working in differents areas of Logic and Analytic Philosophy, such as: Logic, Philosophy of Logic, Philosophy of Mathematics, Philosophy of Language, Analytic Epistemology and Philosophy of Science, Analytic Metaphysics and Philosophy of Mind.

The Social Epistemology Conference is a traditional event organized both by the Research Group on Analytic Epistemology (CNPq) and the Research Group on Applied Epistemology (CNPq). The VIII Social Epistemology Conference will address issues related to Social Epistemology broadly construed, such as: Testimony and Trust, Peer Disagreement and Expertise, Collective Epistemology, Applied Epistemology and Social Epistemology of Institutions and Systems.

This year we decided to bring the two events together as a way of optimizing resources and integrating the community, since both events aim at strengthening the research on Analytic Philosophy, specially on Logic and Social Epistemology, in the Northeast of Brazil. The I Symposium on Logic and Analytic Philosophy and VIII Social Epistemology Conference will be held from 16-19 July, at the State University of Maranhão (São Luís, Brazil).
