The Santiago Mind & Cognition Research Group from Alberto Hurtado University is delighted to organize its first Workshop on Philosophy of Mind and Cognitive Science. This event is aimed at providing the opportunity to engage in some of the most recent debates on the study of the mind both from a philosophical and a scientific perspective. The workshop will take place at Casa Dinamarca, located in the beautiful town of Valparaíso, two-hours away from Santiago de Chile, on August 22-23, 2019.

Liza Skidelsky (University of Buenos Aires, Argentina)

Francisco Pereira (Aberto Hurtado University, Chile)

Applications for a 30-minute presentation (in English, including discussion) in the Workshop will be received until June 1, 2019. To attend please send an email to [email protected] with an 800-word abstract describing the main argument of a contribution addressing some topic within the philosophy of mind or the philosophy of cognitive science.

Registration Fee, including coffee breaks for the two days of the event is 15.000 CLP (approx. 22,48 USD or 19,80 Euro, 965,5 ARS).
