Prof. Whitney Davis (UC Berkeley) will be the guest of a workshop dedicated to discussing the motivations and results of his recent paper 'Binding and Unbinding the Mondrian Stimulus' (British Journal of Aesthetics 4/2018), which argues for 'a revised approach to the relations between invariant visual responses [to abstract visual art, as established by neuropsychological research] on the one hand, and different visual cultures or visuality on the other'.
