The symposium ‘On Shame’ brings together philosophers and ethicists interested in the phenomenon of shame. There will be discussions about shame’s connections to other emotions like sympathy and pride, and about its role in punishment and conscientious objection.

Speakers are prof. dr. Julien Deonna (University of Geneva), prof. dr. Raffaele Rodogno (Aarhus University), prof. dr. Annik Waldow (University of Sydney) and dr. Liesbet Vanhaute (University of Antwerp).
