Details

Following the great success of the first Understanding Value conference, we once again invite the submission of abstracts for Sheffield University’s second graduate conference on the theme of value.  A great many areas of philosophy are concerned with questions about value.  From the areas traditionally conceived as a part of ‘value theory’ – ethics, meta-ethics, aesthetics, social and political philosophy – to epistemology, metaphysics and philosophy of language, mind and psychology, there is a need to understand what value is, what it does and how it can best be conceived of.
