COVID-19 UPDATE: Pending further information, the 81st Meeting of the VPA is now a hybrid face-to-face/online event. Accepted submitters will be given the opportunity to specify if they would prefer to present their submission virtually or in person. Conference proceedings will be broadcast online in real-time for presenters and virtual attendees. We welcome submissions in any area of philosophy from philosophers and graduate students. Your paper should be formatted as a Word document or a pdf, sent as an attachment to an email, and have a word count no higher than 4,500. Please prepare the paper for blind review and include a brief abstract. Email your paper to Michael Jones ([email protected]) with 'VPA Submission' in the subject line. Commentators will be solicited from those whose papers are not selected. Please indicate in your email whether you are willing to serve as a commentator.

Dates: Friday afternoon, October 30, and Saturday morning, October 31 (ending at noon)
Location: Liberty University, Lynchburg, Virginia
Cost: There is no conference fee or membership requirement, and Friday night's dinner and a light breakfast on Saturday will be provided by Liberty University.
