Topic: Quantum Philosophy?
Abstract:
I have been reflecting on the extent philosophy contributes the current development of sciences, in particular to the so-called hard sciences. Should philosophers take a descriptive approach, try to offer a normative contribution to scientists, else? This kind of questions lead me to a new one: to what extent can philosophy introject the novelty of recent scientific developments? There are examples of how this happens, for instance in the case of psychology/neurosciences and philosophy of mind: but what about the hard sciences? I will offer some reflections, using the case of quantum mechanics and the philosophy of Karen Barad.
