Giovanni Tusa's seminar will focus on a critical reading of Martin Heidegger's famous text “The Origin Of The Work Of Art”.

Our reading will not simply attempt to restore Heidegger's text to its dimension of a fundamental work towards a philosophy of art as a way for overcoming Western metaphysics, but will also try to liberate its hidden connections with possible futures for ecological thought. It will not, therefore, be a systematic reading, but a contextual one, which will illuminate the influences and irradiations ‒ without forgetting the obscure ones ‒ of  this controversial and enigmatic text.
