Ancient and medieval thinkers do not sharply distinguish the beautiful from the good, whereas since the 18th century the good and the beautiful has been considered to be different. But what is the exact connection between the good and the beautiful in general, with regard to art or human beings? Is there a moral dimension of the beautiful or an aesthetic of the good? The colloquium aims to give an insight into this contemporary debate about these questions.
