The Department of Philosophy at the University of Tennessee invites submissions for the 2021 Tennessee Value and Agency (TVA) Conference. This year's event will be held on November 12-13. Due to the ongoing pandemic it will be conducted in a fully online format (using Zoom). The 2021 TVA theme is the intersections between (i) philosophy of mind and/or philosophical psychology and (ii) ethical theory and/or political philosophy. This theme is intended to be interpreted broadly.

To be considered for a conference presentation, please send an anonymized draft or abstract to the principal conference organizer (Jon Garthoff) at [email protected]; inquiries about the conference should also be directed to that address. We will consider drafts and abstracts of any length. Each session is scheduled for 70 minutes, with roughly half of that time allotted for presentation and half for discussion. The deadline for submissions is Friday October 15, and decision notices will be sent by Monday November 1.
