UAnalytiCon-2022: Abstract Objects

Dear colleagues, we are pleased to announce the Annual International Conference “uAnalytiCon-2022: Abstract Objects”, which will take place on May 13-14, 2022 in Yekaterinburg, Russia.

The conference is organized in a mixed form, in-person and online.

The conference aims to examine the status of abstract objects. We will focus on such problems as the nature of abstract objects, criteria of distinction between abstract objects and concrete objects, kinds of abstract objects, abstraction principles. The other topics include the problem of the knowability of abstract objects and cognitive access to them.

We welcome submissions from a wide range of disciplines, including but not limited to:

* philosophy of mathematics;
* metaphysics;
* philosophy of language;
* logic;
* epistemology;
* philosophy of mind.

Invited speakers: Stewart Shapiro (O'Donnell Professor, Department of Philosophy, Ohio State University) and Øystein Linnebo (Professor of Philosophy, University of Oslo)

The deadline for abstract submissions is March 1, 2022. Notifications of acceptance will be sent by March 31, 2022. Abstracts must be 500 words or less and prepared for blind review. To submit abstracts please fill out our submission form [https://forms.gle/nuA5TK7xtyF37ErG6].

Official conference languages: Russian, English.

The participation is free of charge. Unfortunately, the Organizing Committee has no available funds for covering transport and accommodation. Participants are responsible for covering travel and accommodation expenses.
