This is a call for paper for Volume 4 of Oxford Studies in Philosophy of Mind. Each volume of Oxford Studies in Philosophy of Mind features two highlighted themes but publishes also articles outside those themes. For Volume 4, the two highlighted themes are:

1) Acquaintance and direct grasp: Are there such things, what are they, and what hangs on this?

2) Idealism: What exactly is the case against idealism, and is there also a case for it?  

Invited contributors include Miri Albahari, David Builes, Elijah Chudnoff, Anna Giustina, Geoffrey Lee, Fiona Macpherson, Galen Strawson, and Helen Yetter-Chappel. There will also be a contribution on the history of the philosophy of mind by Beatrice Longuenesse.  

Submissions should be sent to to [email protected]. The deadline for submissions is 15 November 2022; we have no formatting or length requirements. Decisions will typically be taken within a fortnight.
