Conference Venue:

Department of Philosophy, University of Missouri St. Louis
Saint Louis, United States

Topic areas

The University of Missouri – St. Louis Philosophers’ Forum invites submissions from current graduate students that explore the topic of intentionality. Papers on intentionality from all philosophical perspectives and approaches are welcome, including: ethics, philosophy of language, philosophy of mind, action theory, feminist philosophy, non-western philosophy, etc. Papers that address the intersection of multiple areas are also welcome.

We hope that the majority of the meeting will take place in person, and have adopted hybrid in-person/online format for the conference that can be converted to 100% online if necessary. Presenters will all have the opportunity to present their work and to receive comments and questions in real-time. We expect that regular speakers on the program will attend the majority of the other regular sessions, whether online or in-person.

To apply, please submit:

1) A paper prepared for anonymous review, not exceeding 3500 words in length.

2) A separate cover sheet including name, institutional affiliation, contact information, paper title, word count, and an abstract of no more than 300 words to Daniel Grasso ([email protected]) by January 24, 2022. Acceptances will be announced beginning February 15, 2022 and no later than February 28, 2022.

Those interested in attending the conference in a different capacity (as a commentator or as an attendee) should contact Daniel Grasso ([email protected]). If you have any questions or concerns, please see “Event Organizers” page for contact information.
