Dear Philosophers and Cognitive Scientists,

Happy New Year!

Tim Bayne, a philosopher of mind and cognitive science at Oxford University, will visit Rice on Thursday, January 12, 2012, as part of the HRC Mind & Perception Workshop. Bayne has written extensively about the unity of consciousness, the phenomenology of agency, cognitive phenomenology, delusions, and the richness of perceptual content, among other topics.

Tim will give a talk and workshop entitled, "The Problem of Cognitive Phenomenology," on Thursday, January 12, from 10:30am-12:50pm in HERRING 308. The session will be open to all interested faculty, students, and visitors. Tim will present, and then the session will operate as a workshop focused on Tim's recent work on cognitive phenomenology, the unity of consciousness, and the richness of content.

If you RSVP to me by the end of the day on Monday, January 9, I'll order you lunch.
