Details

The University of Kentucky's Philosophy Graduate Student Association announces its 20th Annual Philosophy Graduate Student Conference, this year on the topic of virtue.  We seek to address the shift in the concept of the “good” between ancient and modern eras, broadly speaking.  Topics in which we are interested include the concept of virtue, virtue ethics, morality, habituation, character, and historical shifts and contrasts in assumptions and conceptions.  Continental, analytic, historical, and contemporary approaches are all welcomed.  Presentations will be followed by commentary from a graduate student.
