SECOND CALL FOR PAPERS

MINDGRAD 2018: PERCEPTION AND PERCEPTUAL KNOWLEDGE

Warwick Graduate Conference in the Philosophy of Mind

1st - 2nd December 2018, University of Warwick (UK)

The format of this year’s MindGrad will differ in two ways from previous meetings.

First, the conference will be themed under the heading "Perception and Perceptual Knowledge". Papers are invited from graduate students working on topics that fall within this area, broadly construed, both in Philosophy and in Psychology.

Second, there will be four invited talks and four submitted papers

Keynote speakers:

- Bill Brewer (KCL)

 - Alisa Mandrigin (University of Stirling)

- Louise Richardson (University of York)

- Paul Snowdon (UCL)

*EXTENDED DEADLINE CFP*: 28th September 2018, 00:00 (GMT+1)

Submissions should be suitable for presentation in 30 to 40 minutes (max 5000 words) and must be accompanied by a short abstract (~ 500 words). Papers will be reviewed by members of the Department of Philosophy, University of Warwick, and accepted papers will receive a response from a faculty member.

We strongly encourage submissions from women and other under-represented groups in philosophy.

Papers and abstracts must be prepared for blind review and uploaded as PDF files through the following URL:

https://easychair.org/cfp/mindgrad_2018

We offer to cover registration costs and provide accommodation for graduate speakers. Pending a successful application for funding, we may also be able to offer bursaries to cover some of the travel expenses for graduate speakers.

Please email [email protected] for further details.
