Anekāntavāda & the Hypothetical Given: two peas in a pod?

In this talk, I argue that a) Anil Gupta's recently developed presentationalist position within philosophy of perception can be construed as implementing central elements of Jaina philosophy, and that b) based on a reflection on these elements, we can enrich his position further to arrive at a position that will be attractive not just to the committed Jaina, but to philosophers of perception more broadly.
