CALL FOR ABSTRACTS

Workshop: ‘Metacognition, Consciousness, Agency’

University of Barcelona, May 9-10, 2019

Submission deadline: January 15, 2019

Confirmed Speakers: Myrto Mylopoulos (Carleton), Marion Rouault (UCL), Nicholas Shea (Institute of Philosophy)

The ERC funded project Rethinking Conscious Agency (PI: Joshua Shepherd) will host a two-day workshop, May 9-10, 2019, in Barcelona. The topics are Metacognition, Consciousness, and Agency. The aim of the workshop is to generate a fruitful discussion amongst interested scientists and philosophers concerning the nature of any of these three things, and the relationships between them. This is deliberately broad: we hope for a wide-ranging discussion.

Those interested in giving a talk at the workshop – which might focus on aspects to do with metacognition, or consciousness, or agency, or which might focus on relationships between any of them – should submit a 500-ish word abstract of a proposed talk to [email protected], by January 15, 2019.
